Interiors and still life
I have done many paintings of still life objects and interiors. It is so easy to set up a still life at home in the studio and its great practice. Sometimes I will adjust composition using my iPad, as the composition is so important for this subject matter. Our human attachment to objects is fascinating to me, and I enjoy trying to portray this attachment.

I have also used objects for their symbolic meaning, as in my "beer talk" series. This series of drawings and paintings is inspired by my reflections on COVID as conspiracies “brewed” . I likened this to somewhat drunken ravings when people explain what is happening with conviction – spouting alarming theories - while seeming to me to be empty of compassion or genuine understanding.
