Leaves - Palmer Sculpture Biennial 2026

Leaves Installed

Over 3 days from March 11 to 13, Liz Ports and Lisa Conolly worked together to install over 60 metres of textile artworks for the Palmer Sculpture Biennial.  Here is a visual diary of the installation process.

Prior to installation, Lisa and Liz visited the site twice, on 23 September, 2025 and January 16 2026. These earlier visits were very important for selecting the site, and getting a sense of how the work could be installed.

Threading rope on both sides of every work was like sewing them all together. The rope helped anchor the work, and created the spiral shape.
