Art Card - Scribed
All art cards are individually hand made, drawn, cut and pressed. These small art works are made with archival quality card and art materials.

Art cards are made with one or more of these methods.
Scribed - a small hand held metal tool is used to impress lines on a strong cotton blend paper surface, usually with a watercolour wash applied before scribing. Coloured pencil is carefully drawn over the scribed surface to reveal the design.
Watercolour - larger art works on paper are produced with watercolour paint and/or aquarelle pencils. The sheets are then cut and pieces are specially shaped for placement in each card.
Collage - a variety of materials may be cut and used in the card, including original art work, as well as photographs, images and text from books or magazines.
Assembly - Most cards have mechanically interlocking pieces placed into hand cut designs in the base card. Minimal glue is used. All cards are pressed to ensure they are flat and secure, resulting in a stable art work that can be framed.
