These sneakers were tricky to paint as the original shoe had so many different textured surfaces.  The bubbly area on the toes is a synthetic gauze-like material. There is a synthetic canvas around the ankle.  The rest of the shoe is a synthetic rubber like material.  Quite a challenge to paint on but they turned out quite well.
